The deadline to submit applications for the 2021-22 school year has now passed. Applications submitted after the deadline will be considered as space allows.

The St. Michael’s admissions process includes the following key dates and reminders.

Kindergarten

Fall Admissions Virtual Open Houses
October 14 and November 4, 9:30 a.m.

Applications must be submitted by DECEMBER 14 in order to be considered in our first round of admission decisions. Applications will continue to be accepted through the spring and summer with decisions continuing on a rolling basis as space permits.

Ability testing (WPPSI-IV)
October -January

Kindergarten Readiness testing for children whose applications are on file
January 2021 dates to be announced.

Kindergarten electronic notification
February 19, 2021
(Admissions decisions will continue on a rolling-basis after this date as space permits.)

Contracts are due:
March 4, 2021, by noon

Grades 1 – 5

Initial admissions decisions for Lower School applicants are made by March 2021 and will continue on a rolling basis after this date as space permits.

Grades 6 – 8

Applications must be submitted by JANUARY 25 in order to be considered in our first round of admission decisions. Applications will continue to be accepted through the spring and summer with decisions continuing on a rolling basis as space permits.

WISC-V testing is administered beginning in fall 2020.

Achievement testing for prospective students begins: January 2021

Initial admissions decisions for Middle School applicants are made by March 2021 and will continue on a rolling basis after this date as space permits.

We look forward to receiving your application! The applicant’s acceptance is based on:

  • Availability of space
  • Admissions testing
  • Student shadow day (for applicants for Grades 1-8)
  • Previous school records including updated immunization form (for applicants for Grades 1-8)
  • Teacher recommendation
  • Evidence that the applicant will benefit from and contribute to the School’s complete program

Testing may be scheduled through St. Michael’s with Dr. Kim Hilton or scheduled independently through another provider (list below). Regardless of where you choose to test, please complete the required Testing Preference Form to the right.

Readiness Testing

Readiness testing is done by the kindergarten teachers in January. Stay tuned for 2021 registration information.

Preschool Report

Preschool reports are requested by St. Michael’s in December. Please return this completed release form to our Director of Admissions, Betty Isaacs.

Transcript or Evaluative Report

Report cards, standardized test scores, teacher recommendations, and an immunization form are required. St. Michael’s will contact your child’s current school in December to obtain these documents. Please submit this completed release form to our Associate Director of Admissions, Alison Roussy.
