St. Michael's Episcopal School strives to provide children with superior academic instruction in an environment that acknowledges and develops Christian values.

Religion & Values

In 3rd grade, students examine biblical history, stories, and characters from the Old Testament, using creative activities to nurture their development of personal faith and Christian values.

In 4th grade, students examine New Testament history, stories, and characters in an effort to understand Jesus Christ and how His life and message influenced and captured the hearts and minds of His followers.

Fifth graders examine the five major world religions: Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism. The goal of this class is to understand the history, culture and values and to learn the unique sacred practices of each world religion.

Character formation class is designed for sixth grade students to understand the importance of good character development. The goal is to help students understand Right Choice, Trust, Respect, and Responsibility and apply them in their everyday lives.

For seventh graders, the values education class focuses on two relationship formation areas: self-identity (Who am I?) and relationship behavior (How can I form healthy relationships?). The goal of this class is to help the students develop their self-identity, build positive emotional behavior and form healthy relationships.
